We run – typically 2/ 3 day workshops on any of the Drawingtolearn ‘Making a product’ units of work. See below for flyers on a sample of these. We love creating new drawing/making product units and we are open to doing that with you.
In these workshops we do the activities that we ask the students to do and along the way talk about the curriculum, help each other create the products and share the new ideas for taking the work down new pathways.
These ‘making a product’ units involve:
Cooperative learning strategies in group work
Art/Craft/design.
A different technique at each phase/task.
Using levels of questioning to deepen the inquiry.
Use the curriculum to assist in exploring the inquiry question.
Follow a narrative structure to tell a story related to the product.
Use a publishing app to record the narrative.
Explore the links across the curriculum areas e.g., Literacy, Language, HASS, Science, ICT, Mathematics, Art and Craft and Design.
Advertised 3-day program for staff from different sites is $900 plus GST per person (resources and catering are included).
Costs for a school hosted 3-day workshop - whether with children or adults is $3200 plus GST (but the cost of resources required are additional to cost of program).
Three examples can be seen here. But remember the focus can be up to you.
